Thank you for your interest in our program. Since 1963, Tripler Army Medical Center Orthopaedic Surgery Residency has trained skilled surgeons to serve our nation. Located on Oahu, Tripler is a 450-bed hospital serving all military branches, dependents, retirees, and VA beneficiaries. Our program offers broad exposure to orthopaedic subspecialties within an academic and supportive environment. Each year, we graduate three Army officers who are competent, compassionate surgeons ready for independent practice whether deployed in austere environments or in a busy civilian practice. We look forward to your rotation with us in sunny Honolulu!

Our Tripler Ortho program director, LTC(P) Dr. Matt Cage, recently led a scoliosis surgery mission to St. Vincent with World Pediatrics. He was joined by TAMC anesthesiologist MAJ Ashley Soppe, MD, CPT Emma Bartholomew, CRNA, and co-surgeon Dr. Yashar Javidan, his friend and fellowship mentor.
